Dr. Waseem Taraji

Dentist/Owner

Dr. Waseem Matthew Taraji, an Iraqi native, has completed his undergraduate degrees, a B.S. in Biology, and a minor in Computer Science, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Taraji graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the Department of Biological Sciences. Dr. Taraji has completed multiple published research projects during his undergraduate and graduate studies.

His passion for helping patients and love for surgical work led him to enroll in dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, where he graduated and received multiple scholarships and awards. Dr. Taraji has also completed a general practice residency in Hospital Dentistry at OSF St. Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL), during which he received certification in Laser Dentistry and Cone Beam CT training. Dr. Taraji is also certified in Invisalign treatment, minimal sedation, and Implants.

Dr. Taraji is working on earning a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. He also feels it is important to expand his skills and knowledge and has participated in over 300 hours of continuing education. Before moving to Michigan, Dr. Taraji practiced in Fort Wayne, IN. His practice was well-rounded in terms of patient ages and procedures done. Aesthetics cases and implant cases were a highlight of his tenure in Fort Wayne.

Outside of his work, Dr. Taraji enjoys traveling with his family, playing soccer, video games, and taking part in pick-up sports.

Dr. Eva Goriee, Retired

Dentist - Retired

Dr. Goriee has retired and sold her practice to Dr. Waseem Tarji. You might still see her around the office occasionally, so be sure to say hi when you do!

Dr. Eva Goriee graduated from The University of Toronto in 1993 with a Bachelor’s in Biology and later received her dental degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio in 1998.

Dr. Goriee is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and member Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Dr. Goriee is licensed to practice in both Canada and the United States.

After Dental School, Dr. Goriee worked for a large group practice and over the course of several years fine-tuned her craft and was promoted to Dental Director of Michigan. As Director, she mentored new doctors and trained them to effectively treat patients using the most current technologies available and thereby, bring patients back to health.

In 2007, Dr. Goriee opened her own private practice in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She and her team are proud to deliver a comprehensive approach to dental health care.

As a huge supporter of post-graduate education, Dr. Goriee travels all over the country and world to learn what is new and exciting in the field of Dentistry and brings that knowledge back to her practice. She is an active member of several study clubs, Seattle Study Club, the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, Motor City Study Club, Dawson Study Club, Spear Study Club, and ADA. 

She offers Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry including full mouth reconstruction, Veneers, Endodontics or Root canals, Cosmetic Whitening, Oral Surgery, Periodontics or Gum Therapy, Laser Dentistry, Sleep Apnea Treatment, General Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Oral Cancer Screenings.

Dr. Goriee is a volunteer dentist in Detroit, Michigan where she regularly treats the underserved and less fortunate.

Dr. Goriee enjoys spending time with family, friends and traveling. Having lived in four different countries throughout her life, including England and Canada, she is proud that the United States is her home.
